Each course includes a variety of tools to help you apply what you’ve learned in your workplace.
Community discussion forum
You’ll have access to a private discussion forum with fellow students to discuss not only the course, but your daily efforts in applying copyright law to your workplace. You will have access to the course and supporting materials for six months, so if you finish early, you may continue to refer to the content and participate in the community forum.

You’ll be able to access each course, including its discussion forum and supporting materials, for six months after your purchase, regardless of how quickly you complete the course.
Certificate of completion and CE credit
When you complete the course, you will receive a certificate of completion. Texas educators will also receive a TEA Continuing Professional Education certificate of completion, and if you need a different type of certification, we will work with you to help you obtain what you need.
An experienced instructor…
All courses are taught by attorney Gretchen McCord, who has been practicing, and teaching, copyright law since 2001. Gretchen cut her teeth on copyright issues as an academic librarian, prior to attending law school, and continues to work with librarians and educators today. This unique background gives her an insider’s valuable perspective on the joys and challenges of today’s librarians and educators.
…who speaks your language.
Gretchen has a gift for explaining complex and sometimes confusing concepts in a way that makes them suddenly make sense. As a past workshop participant puts it, “She has the ability to take a subject as amorphous as copyright and turn it into a fascinating workshop full of examples and down-to-earth explanations.”
“Her credentials are only part of her story. Knowing how to convey information is her specialty.”
